The purpose of the website is to market their products and provide information to potential customers and to provide support and information to its current customers.

The website has been set up with Joomla CMS. Design and strategy was provided by Brand Architecture. The project included converting the Photoshop design to a Joomla template, configure server, set up navigation and pages, install modules and populate the content.

The project took 4 weeks to complete.

The online strategy has been developed through information collected from existing business and marketing plans, interviews and meetings, market and competitor research and the available budgets. The strategy has been prepared by me and worked out in close relationship with Bobux.

The online strategy document is based on work in the areas of:

The strategy document sets the framework for the website and marketing activities in the years to come.

About Bobux:

In January 1991 New Zealand based designers Chris and Colleen Bennett pioneered a new footwear category when they launched a range of original and innovative soft soled leather shoes for children under their brand, Bobux.

Today Bobux baby shoes and clothes are sold in over 30 countries world-wide in Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Asia, Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The NZSBA executive board members are themselves responsible for updating the various areas, each member has been given a responsibility and is using the integrated web based content management system to update the site.

By using a “pre-fabricated” system, open source components and pre-purchased design templates the whole website was up and running in less than 4 weeks from ordering, and cost less than $5.000.

TECHNOLOGY
The site was full built on Open Source CMS Joomla 1.5 and MySQL on a Linux platform.

The work included analysis web traffic data on Google Analytics and raw server log files to get a combined picture as well as combining with offline advertising figures and sales reports. Working closely with the SCC web developers have also been important in understanding the site structure.

The site fully uses the Open Source survey system LimeSurvey, with MySQL and unix.

The project included:

• Over 120 pages of functional specifications and working prototype
• International tender involving 41 companies around the globe
• Working 6 around the clock months with an international team of developers

Results:
The website was launched according on schedule at less than half the cost of what was quoted by NZ companies.
Transfercar was, 5 months after the September 08 launch, already a success turning a profitand relocating 100’s of vehicles every month.
