The first online survey was the annual Mazda Dealer Survey in November 08 where I delivered survey design, distribution, response management and the final survey report (everything but the styling).

TECHNOLOGY
The site fully uses the Open Source survey system LimeSurvey, with MySQL and unix.

In return the travellers are helping the rental car industry to relocate their cars in a cheaper way than any current relocation alternative.

The project included:

  • Over 120 pages of functional specifications and working prototype
  • International tender involving 41 companies around the globe
  • Working 6 around the clock months with an international team of developers

Results:
The website was launched according on schedule at less than half the cost of what was quoted by NZ companies.
Transfercar was, 5 months after the September 08 launch, already a success turning a profitand relocating 100’s of vehicles every month.
